Liz Zeutschel, PT, DPT, SSC has been a Starting Strength Coach since 2017. She obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2012 and worked in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine for 3.5 years before having her daughter and deciding to shift careers to strength, nutrition, and rehab coaching.
Prior to becoming a Starting Strength Coach, Liz was a dancer and exercise enthusiast who worked out primarily for aesthetic goals, but found that she was never completely satisfied with her results. It wasn’t until she began barbell training in 2013 that she started to develop a shift in mentality away from what she looked like, towards realizing what her body is capable of, and she is passionate about helping others realize the same!
Liz is a competitive powerlifter in the USAPL 52kg weight class, with personal bests of 102.5kg (226lb) squat, 55kg (121lb) bench, 110kg (242.5lb) deadlift, and a 335.47 Wilks. She currently holds the Mississippi state record for the squat, bench, and total.
Liz is the proud wife of a military pilot and mom of a red-headed toddler, and has experience training during and after pregnancy. She and her husband currently reside in Meridian, MS but hope to one day move back to the beautiful PNW. She loves hiking, boating, dancing, traveling, country music, cooking, and a good bottle of cab.
