Angie has been a Starting Strength Coach since 2012. She and her husband, Beau Bryant, own one of the biggest and best Starting Strength Gyms in the country, Westminster Strength and Conditioning, in Westminster, MD since 2010. She has four amazing kids, Cooper (10), Jagger (8), Cash (6) and a beautiful princess, Sloan (18 months). Angie also has her Masters’ (2006) and practices as a Physician Assistant, currently in Urgent Care medicine. She is part-time faculty at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD where she teaches Nutrition and Principles of Strength (using the SS methodology and textbooks) in the Kinesiology Department. Angie also coaches at the gym, especially enjoys working with female athletes from all demographics and training high school and college athletes to be stronger and more awesome. She is a competitive powerlifter in the Maryland USAPL, best squat 292.1 (comp) 295 (home), Bench 155 (home) 148.7 (comp), Deadlift 330.7 (comp) 330×2 (home). She recently competed in her first meet as a Masters AND since Sloan was born and placed third in her weight class.
Angie got her introduction to Starting Strength through CrossFit; their gym is also an affiliate. She does nutrition planning for her students and gym members. She has also programmed for and coached lifters at state, national and worlds’ level. She is thrilled to be a member of the SSOC team!
